"No, but there should be a penalty for being invincible in an NPC corp and immune to wars.
You can create your own corporation, by the way. "
Oh come on dark you are smarter than this. You know dam well there are penalites for being in an npc corp. You will never get to fully experience 0.0 territory control and all the perks that go along with it. Another is that usually that tax rate you have on you in a player run corp goes to something that bnenifits the corp. Alot of times you will be able to get ships/mods/ammo for cost, or free. Also you will never truly be able to run much in the way of gang operations in the npc corps, to much to trust and most people wanting organized ops are not in the npc corp to start with. There are more benifits to being in a player corps. Add it all up and players give up PLENTY to be NPC corps.

"We're not talking about "being in an NPC corp" = "not being in a player corp with 0.0 access."
We're talking about "being in an NPC corp" = "not being in a generic player corp, including one-man corps".
Joining a 0.0 corporation/alliance is completely unrelated to the point of this thread."
BS your dodging the point. We are talking about exactly that npc corp vs player run corp. ANY PLAYER RUN CORP has the option of trying to forge a path in 0.0, any player run corp can offer you the same benifits as a 0.0 corp if they choose to. Joining a 0.0 alliance/corp is COMPLETELY RELATED since any corp can make 0.0 there focus. Not to mention if you choose to be redicules and exclude 0.0 benifits there is still an immense about of benifits left on the table for those who join a player corp as opposed to a npc corp.
A tax for npc corps is stupid and not needed. You will no convince those people in the npc corps to leave by taxing since it is not why they are there.

"NPC corps are being used to turn godmode on for alliance/corporation logistics.
Your freighter/industrials under the NPC flag move all your goods 100% riskless. While it's true if they were under a player corp they could just reform, this means 24h of inmobilization. Repeat ad nauseaum and their logistics get crippled.
This problem has a much easier solution: don't allow freighters or T2 transports to undock under a NPC flag."
Hahahah ya right sorry to much BS for me to take. When people are suicide ganked in empire and complain the official word from the vets and supposed pro's is " no where in eve is 100% safe " But here you are spewing crap about godmode. Look if you are so into PVP and corp wars get your chicken arse out to 0.0 and it is no longer an issue. Stop clinging onto empire and being a war deccing bully.
Anyrate last I checked apparently empire is not 100% safe, you simply lack the conviction to do what is needed to kill that frieghter moving supplies for your enemy. Sounds like your problem not an npc issue.

"when was the last time you saw a freighter get ganked in empire? you know you need several several batteships to try doing that? And by several i mean a ridiculowsly high number."
Yes I know it is, but on the otherside people have been using insured BS to kill indy's and make billions at times and the response has always been empire isnt 100% safe. So again if you want to kill the frieghter YOU CAN, it might be painful but it was also painful for that guy who lost his entire carrer worth when his indy got ganked and he lost 2 billion in bpo's.... You simply lack the conviction that is your problem not anyone elses.

I would also add to this that until you can gaurentee every player acceptance into player corps there MUST be NPC corps for them.
